Al Hilal Raids West Ham for Summerville in £60m Mega-Deal

Sky Sports News confirms the deal: £55m guaranteed. Plus another £5m in bonuses. A pretty penny. Roma, bless their hearts, tried their luck earlier on Monday with a measly £39m. Get real. That bid was laughed out of London when Al Hilal’s significantly fatter offer landed.

No surprise, the Saudi club wasn't messing around. Nearly double Roma's initial proposal. That's how you get a deal done in this market. Roma packed it in, then. Now they’re scrambling, chasing after targets like Norway's Antonio Nusa and Andreas Schjelderup. Good luck with that.

This isn't just any sale. Summerville now ranks as West Ham's third-biggest ever. Only Declan Rice and Mateus Fernandes fetched more. Add Fernandes' recent exit to Tottenham, and the Hammers have pulled in over £150m in sales *this summer alone*. Serious cash. Crucial, really, after their relegation to the Championship.

Manchester United apparently kicked the tires on the 24-year-old winger at some point. Briefly. Pure talk, mostly. Nothing ever progressed beyond preliminary chats. It all hinged on Marcus Rashford moving on. Which, of course, never happened.

The guy's got numbers, though. Last season, Summerville made 34 appearances for West Ham, scoring seven goals and providing five assists. Then there's the 2026 World Cup. Featured in all four of the Netherlands' matches. Two goals. Two assists. Not bad at all, considering.
