Fernandes Scores. Spurs Win. Don't Get Carried Away.

Spurs actually managed to open their warm-up campaign with a victory. Sky Sports had the scoop. Fernandes delivered the telling blow, a finish apparently good enough to 'spark' the win. Frankly, Ange Postecoglou's squad needed *something* to cling to as they "ramp up" for the new season. A goal. A win. Fine.

Now, let's be clear: pre-season friendlies offer about as much predictive value as a wet tea leaf. What you see now rarely translates to league form. But sure, some folks squint real hard at these early displays. They look for tactical sharpness. They watch for individual form. An opening fixture win *can* give a squad a sniff of confidence, sure. Call it "momentum" if you like. I call it... training with an audience.

Fernandes' class on the ball? Not exactly breaking news. We've known it for ages. Scoring in these warm-up games? That'll certainly get a nod from the obsessives tracking every last summer kick. It's something to talk about. A bullet point in the grand summer preparations. Don't expect miracles, but don't ignore it completely.
