Jacquet Makes Instant Impact at Anfield Debut

Sky Sports says the new arrival delivered an 'assured display' in his first runout for the Reds. And frankly, they're not wrong. Anfield got a glimpse of what could be a serious bit of business for the club. A proper opening chapter.

You know how it goes. First impressions stick. Jacquet? He made a solid one. A lot of players shrink on the big stage. Not him. He got stuck in. Engaged in the contest. Contributed to Liverpool's whole vibe. Welcome signs? Absolutely. For the Merseyside outfit, this looked promising.

Forget 'early indicators.' This kid looked like a useful addition, full stop. The recruitment team earned their dinner on this one, for now. The big test? How fast he builds on this. We'll see over the coming weeks, especially as this campaign starts hitting full tilt. That's when we'll really know.
