The 20-year-old England international is among eight top-flight representatives vying for the prize, presented annually by Italian publication Tuttosport. Premier League clubs account for nearly a third of the entire shortlist, underlining the division's depth of emerging talent.

Bournemouth and Brighton both contribute two players each, with Eli Junior Kroupi and Rayan for the Cherries, and Luka Vuskovic and Charalampos Kostoulas representing the Seagulls. Chelsea's Estevao Willian and Jorrel Hato complete the west London double, while Manchester City's summer-signing Ayyoub Bouaddi rounds out the Premier League contingent.

Barcelona lead the charge across European clubs with three finalists: Pau Cubarsi, who was named best young player at the summer's World Cup and sits among the strongest contenders, plus Marc Bernal and Xavi Espart. Real Madrid field two—Yan Diomande and Endrick—while Paris Saint-Germain's Warren Zaire-Emery and Bayern Munich's Lennart Karl also secured spots.

Notably absent is Barcelona's Lamine Yamal, odds-on favourite for this year's Ballon d'Or, who is ineligible having already won the Golden Boy award in a previous year, according to Sky Sports.
