Liverpool circle Konsa as defensive injuries mount

According to the Daily Mirror, Liverpool's interest in Konsa reflects Iraola's pressing need to shore up a backline ravaged by injury absences. The Aston Villa centre-back has emerged as a priority target, though Arsenal also remain in the hunt for his services.

The competition for Konsa underscores Liverpool's summer recruitment strategy and the scale of their defensive concerns heading into the new campaign. Whether the Merseyside club can persuade Aston Villa to part with one of their key players remains uncertain, particularly given Villa's own ambitions this season.

Konsa has established himself as a reliable Premier League performer, and any move would likely command a substantial fee from either interested party.
