Vinicius Jr. Stays Put: Madrid Snubs Arsenal, New Deal Brewing

Madrid is damn confident. They expect Vini to ink a long-term deal at the Bernabéu. Arsenal's been sniffing around, sure, his contract's down to the last 12 months, but that's all it is: sniffing. Sky Sports News spilled the beans Monday: Madrid and Vinicius's camp are meeting this week. The goal? A longer deal. No surprises there. Mourinho, the new gaffer, he rates this kid. Big time. Wants Vini as a key piece of his grand rebuild. Madrid's drawn a line in the sand. No sale. Period. They're keeping their best attackers. Arsenal's pipedream about the 26-year-old is just that. A pipe dream. Madrid's already at the table, hammering out a new contract. Any hope of a summer snatch-and-grab? Dead. The speed of these talks proves it. Madrid means business. They lock down their main guys before the window slams shut.
